A dving paradise, Sipadan Island is some 30 km off the coast of Semporna, a small town in the southeast coast of Sabah. The mushroom – shaped Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, offering myriads of colourful tropical fish and corals in the crystal clear waters. It is located in the Celebes Sea east of the major town of Tawau and off the coast of East Malaysia on the Island of Borneo. Sipadan is located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific basin, the centre of one of the richest marine habitats in the world. More than 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been classified in this ecosystem.
Day 1
Arrive by flight via MH 2121 BKI/TWU eta: 0745 from Kota Kinabalu.
Upon arrival at Tawau Airport, pickup & Transfer to Semporna by land journey (1hr drive).
Arrive at Semporna, transfer by boat ride to resort, 45 min. 1 check dive + 1 boat dive at Mabul Island and unlimited house reef dive with own buddy system.
Day 2
2 boat dive at Sipadan Island + unlimited dive with own buddy
Note: No. of dive depends on flight departure the next day)
(Please be in mind of requirement for the surface internal before flight the next day)
Day 3
After early lunch, check out and transfer to Tawau Airport for flight departure to Kota Kinabalu OR no taking any flight, still can do another 2 boat dive at Sipadan Island. After lunch at resort, 1400 hrs, check out and transfer to Semporna or Tawau.
Recommended things to bring : Suitable walking shoes, change of clothes, toiletries, hat, raincoat, insect repellent / mosquito oil, binoculars, camera, water proof bag for camera and torchlight.
